Half-Life 2: Deathmatch fanatic Viperbird is organizing a mapping contest to inspire other fans of the game to create fresh and unique maps for competitive play. He hopes to encourage competitive play within the community at all skill levels and to host a follow up 1v1 Tournament with the top 5 maps from his contest as well.

Viperbird and the HL2DM community have pooled together an impressive prize for the top 3 map entries. A prize pool that continues to grow.

Here at GLeagues we support competitive play, creativity and anything encouraging them. It's also no secret we want to see a resurgence in competition for older games. We didn't hesitate to donate $150 USD to the prize pool and are offering an additional bonus to anyone in the top 5 that incorporates the GLeagues logo in their map.

The contest has already started, and will run until Novemember 30th, 2022. All submissions will be reviewed by Viperbird and a panel of 10 other judges, good people like The New Guy, pan1c, Bio-Hazard and Herbalizer. First place winner will be awarded 60% of the prize pool. The runners up will win 30% for 2nd place and 10% for third.
