CS:GO team Heroic acquires MIBR's BLAST Premier member spot
One of the most recognisable names in European Counter-Strike, Heroic, has become a BLAST Premier member after acquiring the spot previously held by Immortals Gaming Club, the parent company of Brazilian CS:GO side MIBR.
Immortals Gaming Club was one of the founding member teams of BLAST Premier in 2020, but Heroic will now take its place. This is not the first time an organisation has sold its BLAST Premier spot, as in 2021 100 Thieves sold its membership to BIG after it decided to exit the CS:GO esports scene entirely.
"We thank MIBR for being one of our partners for the last two years," says BLAST Premier's managing director, Charlotte Kenny, in a press release. "Their renowned and passionate Brazilian fanbase have ensured there's never been a dull moment, even when we had to pivot to online-only shows in 2020. We look forward to having them back competing in our global qualifiers and regional Showdowns in the future."
